This post is all about Tanya's Big Day!!
Tanya's wedding was simply beautiful. The ceremony took place in the Washington DC Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where her and Clay's marriage was made eternal. Once they were married, we all waited outside the temple doors for the bride and groom to come greet everyone.
Tanner was so excited to see Tanya. He squealed and smiled and smiled. To tell the truth, I don't know if I've ever seen him more excited. He kept saying, "WHOA! Auntie Tanya is so pretty! Her dress, her dress is beauuuutiful! Auntie Tanya and Uncle Clay is married now! Clay is my uncle now! I'm so haaaaappy! Auntie Tanya is married!! EEEEEE! She is so beautiful!! Can I give her a hug?!"
We got some nice pictures in front of the temple.
Tanner kept on being happy and practicing his smile for the pictures.
What a charming little nephew he is! I was tickled to pieces when he performed the best smile he could muster for this special shot!
Tanner stepped in a mud puddle, and cousin Briana helped clean him up.

Tanya generated a little fan club of young women. They stood and adored her while she got pictures with the wedding party. You could tell they wanted to be just like her!
During our break at the hotel, the boys found some food in the trash can. Of course, it was 20 minutes before we needed to leave for the reception.
Here is the gorgeous view from our hotel room! The reception was on the top floor of the hotel with the same amazing view. It went along perfectly with their wedding theme of "A More Perfect Union." The Air Force Memorial is in front, with Pentagon behind it, then Washington Monument off to the left, with the Jefferson Monument and Capital Building all in view.

Tanya had these name cards hand written in calligraphy for everyone.
Here's the table of name cards and letters. Tanya and Clay wrote special letters to every guest that came to the reception. That's 70 handwritten personalized notes- in addition to all the thank you notes they wrote a few weeks later!
Here's Desha's beautiful bouquet. She was the maid of honor. Also, see the picture frame with the capital building in the background? Tanya named each table after a location in DC that had special significance to her and Clay. The capital building is where they met and got engaged. The Jefferson Memorial was their first kiss, Georgetown their first date, etc.
When Tanya and Clay made their grand entrance, Tanya looked like an angel! Then they immediately did their first dance, which Tanya choreographed. It was the CUTEST foxtrot ever!

I was totally blown away by the all the wedding planning that my little sister did for her own wedding. There were so many little ways that she made the day special for not only her and Clay, but for all her family and friends. Tanya is really so caring, it's no wonder Clay fell in love with her!!
