November 2021 had some fun memories. This post was written by Tanner and Dallin.
There was a big biking event in South Park were they closed off all the roads for people to bike.
Below are some pictures of dad coaching our YMCA basketball teams. We were on different teams because of the age groups, so dad coached both our teams.
Here's a picture of me breaking ankles.
Dad had a beach party at Coronado. He invited both basketball teams so that he wouldn't have to host two. Me and Dallin brought a shovel so that we could dig a crater. No one used it except these teenagers that came with their little brother and sister. They dug a super deep hole. Here's them about half way done. This is what Dad looks like coaching during the games.
What an awesome coach. We love Coach Zavoral!! (Sarahlynn wrote that)
A random picture of Mom.
Our driveway. Me and Dallin played catch a lot right here.
That's Dallin.
There's this big swing in the canyon. Actually there's lots of spots with swings. Sometimes the city cuts it down, and then kids come back and make a new one.
We rode our bikes to 7-11 for slurpees with my dad.
This is me playing a really hard game. You have to match up the pieces that wobble everywhere.
Whale Watching for the first time a family!! This is one of mom's favorite things to do.
I was really nervous on the boat. It was rocking so much and I thought we were going to capsize every few waves.
It was a little cold out there, so mom of course got all dressed up like it's winter.
Dallin didn't seem scared and he even sat near the edge. He wouldn't listen to me to be careful.
We came upon two huge BLUE whales. Mom started crying when she saw them. They are super mysterious and it's really rare to see them. They didn't jump out like other whales. But they were big and you could see the water blow up. And we could see their whole backs and spine and then their tales. It would take a long time for the whole thing to go under the water.
I wanted to do a pie in my face, so we all did it one night.
This is my Christmas wishlist.
Primary Presentation, Nov 2021
This was our first one since Covid. Mom directed the whole thing. This was about 6 weeks after she became the primary president. Dallin and me sang solos.
Mom bribed us to sing solos. The deal was that she would give us cake.
Looking at dad's mission schedules. It is very old fashioned.
My dentist check up.
Teaching Music at Mckinley
Mom worked really hard to launch the music program at McKinley.
She also kept teaching a lot at our house.
While Sarahlynn was teaching and doing church stuff, she put together this awesome treat thing for the teachers during teacher conference week. The PTC had never done anything like this and told Sarahlynn she could organize herself. Since she- as a teacher- knew how tired and hungry teachers get during parent teacher conferences, she took it upon herself to do this for the teachers. She got a lot of parents to chip in and bring things to the school each day. There was a different them for the food each day and it was a huge success!
One day at school a Mariachi Band came. This was a prize for earning money in the Jogathon.
That's me, Dallin, at lunch and my mom came by to say hi. She is wearing a mask because masks were requied at school this whole time unless you are eating or drinking, and you're outside and you're 6 feet away from another person that isn't your mom.
They took our lunch tables away so that we could seat people 6 feet apart. Super dumb. Some kids had to sit in the hot sun every day. They tried to get more shade, and it was just all a big dumb mess. The only perk is that they served lunch for free for all students as part of the Covid Relief efforts.
Everyday after school, we could grab free breakfast food for the next day. I liked this better than what we do now, which is eat bfast at the school.
More fun in music class!
