We had a very happy Halloween in 2021.
Our family dressed up as character from the Peanuts comics, aka Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Woodstock and Lucy.
The boys had fun putting spider webs in their room.
Getting ready to go to Halloween parties! This blue dress and necklace belonged to Grandma Davidson. I had fun styling my hair to look like I had bangs and the funny curls that Lucy has. I made a bag with the same wording that she has at her stand selling pyschiatric help. I was really pleased with how the costume turned out and that I didn't have to buy anything for it.
We bought hoodies for the boys costumes and added simple feathers and dog chain. Jeremy's shirt we bought as well, and he'll probably use it again someday.

Notice the cute Snoopy collar that Tanner made! And also notice that masks indoors at church were still a thing. I remember we had all arrived with masks on, and by the end of the night they were all off. Things were changing every two weeks with mask mandates and rules.

At the activity, we did a chili cookoff, a canned food collection, making cards for meals on wheels, and trick or treating around the inside of the building. It was a great time!!

Carving pumpkins from the pumpkin patch that we went to! It tried to tell the boys that big pumpkins take longer to carve. They stuck with it and were really proud of their work.
Halloween Night!!
Before heading out to trick-or-treat, we made mummy dogs for dinner with Tiana and her daughter. We had a lot of fun together. I love that family so much.
The boys were really excited to check out this neighbor's house that they pass everyday to get to school. Yes, I got spooked a couple times. The theme they did this year was evil, carnivorous plants.
People weren't sure with Covid still being a concern about how many people would be out having fun. A LOT of people turned up in the nieghborhood to trick-or-treat. Houses were all decked out with lights, displays, music, animations, and moving animatronics. Some people had the candy shoots to keep distance from the kids, and that was fun to have your candy come down and enormous pipe. We ran into lots of students from school on each street. And Coraleen said the funniest things as we walked around.
At home, the boys enjoyed sorting their candy. Tanner likes to spend a lot of time ordering things by size and product. Dallin likes to eat right away and sort of sort as he eats.
It was a perfect evening! I love the feeling we have when we come home from a fun time seeing people, being silly, enjoying the evening air and then coming home to enjoy things that people generously gave us. The boys are chill because they get to eat candy, we're chill and everything is just really nice. 💗
