Colorado Christmas

After the beach boat parade and taking a round of golf with my new b-day clubs (thanks Dad!)
we were crazy enough to step onto an airplane that took us from 63 degrees to a whopping 9 degrees in Longmont, Colorado.Even though we were freezing the whole time, we had a lot of fun. Here's the highlights!!

Nuggets Game at the Pepsi Center
We had 12th row seats, and they beat Portland.
Seeing our Higgins and Robertson Grandparents
So fun to visit with the best people in the world.
Mom, I still need the family shot of Christmas Day :-)
Gingerbread Contest with Robertson/Whitehead Cousins
There was a big debate about the best looking one. Tanya and I were on different teams, so there was a sister rivalry going on. Vote for either House #1 or #2 by adding a comment and then we'll prove that MY group's was the best. Click on the pics for a better view.
House # 1House #2Celebrating Our 3rd Christmas Together

Snowboarding Lessons with Tanya and Megan
Thanks to Lyman and Higgins Gparents, we finally got to learn how to snowboard. Jeremy got really good at it. I liked it by the end of the day. We're still sore, though.
Going to the Denver Temple With Stacy and Our Parents
We sealed some of our ancestors together. The Spirit was really strong and it was so cool to be there with one of my best friends!!

Avalanche Game at Pepsi Center
We were in the 9th row and got on the big screen! And they beat the Redwings after overtime and a shoot-out!
Don't you love the hat and scarf Grandma Robertson made for me?!

Newport Beach Christmas Parade

Right before we left for Colorado, we went with the Lineberry's to one of America's top ten holiday attractions: the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade!! People that own yachts, sailboats, and other expensive floating devices decorate them with Christmas lights. Then, they float around the harbor and play Christmas music. We watched two hours of beautiful boats. These pics really don't do it justice. Afterwords, we went to a fun diner in Sunset Beach.

Oh! The Perks of Living in Orange County

Perk 1: Disneyland is just down the street.
We went for free last Sat thanks to Brooke and Ryan's kindness!

Perk 2: 75 Degree Weather at Christmas Time
All the decorations at Disneyland and in our neighborhood makes us feel like we are part of a giant "Christmas in July" Party

Perk 3: Lots of Major League Sports Centers
By courtesy of Mom Z, we got to root for the Sacramento Kings at this Lakers Game. Our seats were cushioned and there was a live band. And lots of purple lights outside- for the Kings, of course ;-)

Perk 4: Downtown Hype
We got to feel cool walking around Downtown and the Staples Center. But you can tell that I'm not very good at making a gangster face!

Perk 5: Countless Beaches
We discovered South Laguna Beach. There were rock arches, beautiful plants, turquoise waters and tide pools. During this episode of our tide pool exploration we saw starfish. If there is such thing as obese starfish, then that is what they were! HUGE and fat with brownish red and bright orange colors! We could see the orange ones from the top of the ocean cliff. Of course, we didn't have the camera, so I stole this picture from Dawn Asay, who was at the same beach a few weeks ago. Aren't the colors of all the wildlife amazing!?
Perk 6: Awesome Church Members
Yesterday we enjoyed the church Christmas Party. Jeremy and I sang a duet to open the "show" and we had fun with our friends. Today, Jeremy taught an awesome Sunday school lesson (his new calling) and I enjoyed teaching the young women. We are trying to savor every moment here because there is no telling when Hormel will promote/transfer Jeremy to a better job. I'm wishing that we can stay here!

Our New Obsession

So Jeremy learned about eHow. It's a web network where people contribute articles on how to do pretty much anything. People who need help with something search by topic and get advice. Authors of the "how to's" get money every time a reader clicks on ads that are featured with the article. We became authors in an effort to make a passive income, so now we're hooked!

We thought you might be interested in what we've written. Take a few minutes to learn something new from the links below. Feel free to rate the articles. Enjoy and expect more to come!

Sacramento Thanksgiving

We went to Sacramento for Thanksgiving!! We enjoyed dinner at Grandma Davidson's house, going to both the Sacramento and Oakland Temple, visiting old friends, and watching home videos of Jeremy and his siblings. It was a great weekend. We were sad it went by so fast! Matt is officially taller than SarahLynn, towering at 5'11''. He'll probably be 6ft by his 14th birthday in January.

Jeremy found this Sacramento Kings jacket along with all of his high school work and memorabilia. He's been reading through his stuff non-stop since! Yes, he's reading one of his papers now about how he will never want to go into outer space. He was and is so funny! I love this guy.

Fashion Island

I helped Brooke take her three little ones to Fashion Island a few weeks ago. It's basically a really upscale mall with a carousal (and it's actually not a real island, but it's close to the beach). We ate lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen and rode the carousal. Fun! Then, after looking around a bit, we got disappointed with the limited selection and high prices. So we ended up getting what we needed at Target!

Rylie was so excited that she was wearing all purple and riding a horse with all purple clothes!!
