Apple Festival & Orchards

On Oct 4 we took the boys to the Johnny Appleseed Festival in Lake City, about an hour northeast of us. There were lots of fun little things to see: petting zoo, train ride, art exhibit, a little farmer's market, a couple food trucks. We had a good time.
Although we had fun, we were disappointed that none of the attractions at the festival had ANYTHING to do with apples or Johnny Appleseed!! So we googled to see if there were any apple orchards to go to nearby. We found one place, but it turned out to just be a store! Luckily, the store people pointed the way to a real pick-your-own apple orchard. Here's what we found:
It was a quiet, beautiful place. We couldn't find it on google maps, so we felt really local going there! It was much different than the touristy apple places we've been to in SoCal. This place had special charm and beauty. We LOVED being there, and the apples were SO delicious!!!
Isn't this place gorgeous!? I'm so glad we found it!
