Easter 2022

We had a really fun Easter in April 2022.

Sculpting rice kripsies figures. We tried to make things that remind us of Christ's resurrection. We made a tomb, an oil lamp, fish and honey comb, and a scipture scroll.

Ward Easter Party

During this time, our ward was just newly combined with another ward in the stake so our primary had doubled and I was the primary president. Our church put on a great Easter party that I planned with my two new counselors. It turned out great! We tried really hard to keep the event fun while also staying focused on Christ.

First we had a devotional in the gym, where the primary sang a few songs and I gave a spiritual thought. We sang Jesus Loves me this I know, Hot Cross Buns, Easater Hosanna. We also sang on Easter Sunday during church.

Then we had the Easter egg hunt! We had the youth hide the eggs, so Grant age 13 at the time, hid about 20 eggs under a traffic cone. Lol.

Then, we enjoyed activities, food and visiting. We made sure to have a community art project for the whole ward to do together. It was flowers that people colored in different squares, then we put in on a hue mural wall and it looked like a colorful mosaic that we hung in the hallway with the scripture from Romans about how we are one in Christ. Families also enjoyed chalk, ball games, Easter trivia, fruit and hot cross buns.

And none of this would have been possible without Jeremy helping me haul things all over the place.

At church

After a nice time at church, we gathered with our friends on Whaley to have a big egg hunt together. Our kids are so dang cute!! Jeremy and Ben and maybe a couple other dads hid all the eggs. The pictures of this egg hunt are out of order. This might be the year that Tanner was upset how easy all the eggs were to find. We also tried an egg role this time. That was interesting! The weather was perfect and the time together on the grass was so calming and rejuvinating, thinking about the goondess of spring and Easter and new life, new fresh starts and redemption.

We had a great Easter season.
