Dallin, Dallin and more Dallin

Pretty much all the pictures I took Nov 1-7 are of Dallin. I had lots of fun doing different hair-dos. Here's one of several.

I came home from youth group Weds night (I'm one of the leaders for the young women) and found this heavenly sight.

Dallin got really interested in playing with balls. Super fun to watch him develop hand-eye coordination. You can practically read his mind just by watching him..."See the ball. Whoah it moved, find the ball again. It's next to me! Think about getting it. Move arm awkwardly, clasp hand, ball to mouth. Ah...bliss!"

Check out this do. I know it's gonna be embarrassing for him, but I just can't resist playing with my baby's hair!

Halloween

Okay, I'm finally posting about Halloween!

The festivities started with the Hormel family trick-or-treating event that takes place at the corporate office. All the families of corporate employees come to the office to trick or treat from cubicle to cubicle. We got to see Jeremy's work space and meet a lot of his co-workers. 

(I should also mention that about a week earlier we went to a fall marketing party at Jeremy's co-worker's house. It was a potluck where each marketing person had to bring a dish that included the food they work for. I was surprised at the variety of yummy dishes we had! There were also games, crafts, and lots of kids.)

After the Hormel trick or treat, we had dinner at our house with the Grush family.

 We made mummy dogs, then ate them with chili and salads.

All the kids are ready to go trick or treating outside!

Tanner loved it! It was chilly and late, so we went up and down one street. 

At one house, Tanner fell and skinned his arm. When we were done, we asked, "Tanner did you like trick or treating?" "I fell down and got a scrape, Mama. I got a scrape!" Of course, that was all he remembered.

Dallin loved chewing on the candies with noisy wrappers.

We had a really great day!!

And to top of all the fun, the next morning we saw what the Halloween magic did to our tree seemingly overnight!

High chairs, snacks, and carvings

Okay, I'm still trying to catch up here. I can't believe how many pics I have from October! All these pics are a few days before Halloween.

Here's Dallin during one of his first official meals in the high chair. Not just licks and tastes this time. It was the real deal! We started with avocado, then green beans and peas.

He loved it all, but struggled with the swallowing, so I kept it to one time a day for a little bit.

Tanner took this pic of me eating while Dallin sleept on me in the Mei Tei.

Tanner loved his first try at making "ants on a log." He added the raisins...

then he took his first bite...

then decided they were DE-licious!

Here's Dallin at the Grush's house while we made doughnuts with the girls in our youth group. Dallin was so happy the whole time!

He took a nap in the cradle that Bryan made for toy dolls.

One of the Grush boys is really good at playing with Dallin. All day while making doughnuts and then at the church activity, they giggled and giggled together!

Pumpkin Carving on Oct 29!

Tanner was not into it at all. He touched the guts a few times and put his hand inside the pumpkin once and decided it was "too cold and yucky." He liked drawing on the pumpkins instead.

Dallin chilled out on the side lines.

 My pumpkin ended up looking like this. 

The one we got from the patch ended up rotting. Jeremy had to cut out a big hole to get all the nasty parts out (it reeked). So this is the face that he ended up with. It looks like someone singing!

And just for laughs, here is the crime scene I found on our changing station the next morning. Life with a two year old is always full of surprises!
